For whatever reason I have kept a great deal of small items throughout my life. They either had to be significant to me and my story or just aesthetically pleasing. Here are some of the significant ones and my reasons for keeping them. I had the idea after listening to the BBC radio series A History of the World in 100 objects. There was criticism of the series based on the fact that many of the objects in the list had been appropriated from Nations and Peoples, sometimes by force. Barbara Iwein's beautiful photographs of her 12795 possessions was also a major influence in getting me started on my meagre items. Our children’s Dorling Kindersley played their part too.
